About the role
As a member of the Edinburgh Maintenance Team, this role is responsible for leading maintenance teams to deliver contracted maintenance outcomes for SRG at Edinburgh.
The Team Lead Maintenance Support works in accordance with all processes, systems, and tools set by the Edinburgh Maintenance Manager to ensure service delivery excellence.
The scope includes all maintenance functions within the Fixed Wing Maintenance and ISR program Edinburgh, supporting the P-8A Manager of Maintenance in planning and scheduling P-8A maintenance, coordinating with SRG Fleet Planner and Integrated Maintenance Planning Cells.
It also involves managing SRG paint requirements, prioritizing staff and resources across all SRG programs.
Reporting to the Manager Edinburgh Maintenance, but responsive to Edinburgh SRG requirements for DASR Part and Part M Regulatory Compliance, you will lead maintenance teams to execute assigned functions through Program Work Authorities, maintaining high operational capability across the P-8A, MC-55, MQ-4C, and ISR programs.
Your day-to-day activities will include but are not limited to:
Supporting the safe and successful execution of Maintenance Services at Edinburgh by Prime Contractor
Empowering direct reports to achieve KPIs and service targets
Identifying opportunities and developing business cases for maintenance service enhancements
Managing hot topics and escalation processes in Maintenance
Collaborating with prime contractors to resolve roadblocks and enable team delivery
Ensuring safety and maintenance compliance, timely closure of AIRS reports and investigations, and sharing with the Commonwealth
About you
To succeed, you should be able to lead a high-performing team, have experience in people management, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
You need to work effectively under tight deadlines, thrive in continuous improvement environments, and proactively drive change.
The ideal knowledge and experience include:
Certificate IV or Diploma in Aeroskills or equivalent relevant experience with extensive technical background
Knowledge of maintenance management systems, planning, parts management, and delivery types
Understanding of maintenance, support engineering, and supply chain interdependencies
Track record in process improvement, balancing practices with contractual requirements
Knowledge of aviation maintenance legislation and standards (e.g., CASR, DASR)
Skills you will demonstrate include:
Strong leadership and team-building skills, integrity, and a positive culture
Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
Planning and organizational skills for managing deadlines
Ability to enforce maintenance control processes in compliance with standards
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and data analysis
Excellent interpersonal skills for building collaborative relationships
