Social Media Executive, Newsroom

As a Social Media Executive you will be a key member of the Social Media team at Sky, working across always-on content, product launches, TV and film launches and providing day-to-day support to the wider social team.

What you'll do:

- Concept brilliant social media copy and posts for TV and product launches and always-on content
- We will create content, schedule posts, write copy and engage with responses to ensure we are building an engaged community.
- Sharing assets with our paid media agencies and ensuring campaigns are built correctly.
- Sharing assets with our EU partners, in order to facilitate effective work across the group.
- Raising POs and working with the wider team and finance to align our budgets.
- Liaising and booking meetings with external and internal team members and agencies.
- Becoming an ambassador for excellent social content within the department - which includes PR and Influencers
- Working with the above teams to brainstorm ideas across all three disciplines.
- Occasional out-of-hours working to support on live broadcasts, events community management and reactive content.

What you'll bring:

- 3 years+ social media experience. Experience within the media, telecoms or entertainment fields is desirable.
- Strong digital creative skills, across copywriting and editing imagery. Video editing capability would be a plus.
- A passion for social media and the ability to keep on top of current and future trends
- A good understanding of different social platforms and formats, best practice, and styles/approaches that lead to posts that engage users
- Experience in creating content for different social platforms including Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram
- Strong communication skills to communicate effectively to senior stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with the ability to form good relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent planning and organization skills

Your office base:
