**POSITION PURPOSE**

The IELTS Business Development Specialist is responsible for further growing the acceptance of new IELTS products by selected higher education providers and other recognising organisations in Australia and New Zealand. The IELTS Business Development Specialist can deliver on targets, excels in building B2B relationships, and works closely with IELTS stakeholder engagement teams locally and globally to meet set targets.

**Frequent travel** across Australia & New Zealand is a requirement for this role. This is a **12-month fixed-term** role, and the successful applicant can work from any location within Australia.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Business Development / Stakeholder Engagement**
- Agree on a set of recognising organisation targets with the manager.
- Define a territory plan & devise strategies to deliver recognition targets according to IDP's preferred priority.
- Respond to queries from recognising organisations on the design and delivery of IELTS One Skill Retake and other IELTS products.
- Conduct follow-up to ensure that identified higher education recognising organisations have completed the sign-up process for results delivery and verification and provide additional support if issues arise

**Partnership **(New Zealand)**
- Work cooperatively with the British Council New Zealand stakeholder representative to grow acceptance of One Skill Retake
- Where possible, work together with the British Council New Zealand on a nominated joint approach to target recognising organisations
- Devise strategies to deliver recognition targets according to IDP's preferred priority in New Zealand.

**Data Management***
- Regular reporting of the status of One Skill Retake acceptance via weekly meetings with the Global Stakeholder Engagement team
- Ensure contact details for identified recognising organisations' business partners are accurate and current
- Ensure critical data are recorded and maintained
- Ensure regular reporting of higher education RO responses and concerns Provide accurate and timely reporting of product acceptance and stakeholder engagement to relevant business units and project teams utilizing shared tools

- IELTS Commercial/Global Stakeholder Engagement Team

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
- Demonstrated ability to find, build and establish networks with external stakeholders in Australian & New Zealand higher education.
- Leverage different approaches to identify decision-makers, discover institutional requirements, and offer solutions that support the acceptance of new IELTS products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convincingly impart complex or technical information in an appropriate way to higher education business partners.
- Acumen to quickly grasp technical information regarding the IELTS test and associated systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately document outcomes.
