Fantastic APS 6 opportunity to join the Executive and Change Communication Team within Internal Communications at a Federal Government Department in role where you will help deliver on lots of exciting department initiatives.

This is your opportunity to assist with high profile internal campaigns and draft regular communication for the Senior Executive.

This is initially a 12 month non-ongoing contract, with the possibility of a S26 transfer if you are a current APS employee. Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to obtain a baseline clearance. Central Canberra location with flexibility to work 2 days from home.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement internal communication services and products, including engaging internal staff campaigns for the department's Senior Executive, employee networks, line areas and general staff
- Manage internal communication channels by creating, coordinating, scheduling and publishing content across multiple channels including intranet, newsletters, digital screens, foyer displays etc
- Collaborate with Creative Services Design and Video teams to provide input into the production of visual assets
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain internal events and key dates calendar and support their internal events, including promotions, logistics and 'on the day' assistance
- Compile and evaluate analytics about key internal channels and content to facilitate ongoing improvements to internal communications and staff engagement

We are looking for someone with a passion for communications who supports strategic thinking and can communicate with influence.

**Skills and Experience required**:
**Any exposure to change management will be beneficial but is not mandatory.**
- Communications background including some experience within government
- Proven experience implementing multi-channel communication strategies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to translate complex information into easily digestible key messages and digital formats
- Strong stakeholder liaison skills
- Well-honed organisational skills and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Willingness to help out across a range of tasks and support other team during surge periods
- Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance
