Take ownership of end-to-end contract management, from compliance and education to coordination and negotiation, ensuring smooth operations and success.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our client's team as an Contracts Officer. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with company procurement and HSE policies, procedures, and statutory requirements. Your expertise in contract management and negotiation will contribute to the successful execution of our projects and the establishment of strong supplier relationships.

**Responsibilities (not limited to but includes)**:

- Assist in developing comprehensive scopes of work tailored to the unique requirements of projects and packages.
- Issue and manage tenders, expedite technical queries, and evaluate and recommend contract awards.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement and HSE policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor and enforce contract provisions, escalate unresolved issues, and proactively mitigate risks.
- Expedite actions and deliverables from internal stakeholders and suppliers, promoting efficient collaboration.
- Foster effective communication and cooperation with other departments, promoting a cohesive working environment.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Strong understanding of procurement and contract management principles, ideally within the resources sector.
- Proven ability to negotiate favourable terms and conditions while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to educate contract owners and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Keen eye for detail when drafting contracts, variations, and contractual correspondence.
- Proficiency in analysing data using ERP systems, and strong organisational skills to manage multiple contracts and meet deadline
