About the Role
PeopleIN is on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented
Assistant Accountant
to join our energetic Finance Team in
Brisbane
.
In this pivotal role, you will support our financial reporting activities and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Processing general and recurring monthly journal entries as directed by the Divisional Finance Controller and Company Accountant
Completing bank reconciliations with accuracy and attention to detail
Assisting in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations across the Group
Supporting the development of profit and loss statements for the Group
Contributing to bi-annual audit preparations
Generating sales invoices and entering supplier invoices as needed
Providing support with ad hoc finance tasks as required
About You
You are a confident communicator who thrives on building strong relationships across all levels of the business.
With a career-focused mindset and a proactive attitude, you are ready to take on new challenges and grow within a dynamic finance environment.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce
Minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting role
A collaborative mindset and a positive, can-do attitude
Strong organisational skills and excellent written and verbal communication
High numeracy skills and exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially for preparing fortnightly client reports
