A Project Officer position with an opportunity to make a difference

**Your new company**

Hays Office Support are currently seeking an APS4 Project Officer for an independent authority, established by the Australian Federal Government. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the planning and delivery of activities, whilst making a difference to the broader community. The role will require full-time hours, frequent travel around Tasmania, and will be offered as a 6-month non-ongoing contract.

**Your new role**

Based on the Hobart waterfront, our client is an agency that focuses on providing Australians with an opportunity to have a voice. As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for organising the planning and delivery of services to remote communities around Tasmania. You will undertake the coordination of staff and ensure their training requirements are met. You will also troubleshoot logístical challenges.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be the successful applicant you'll have demonstrated experience working in a project-based role. In addition, you will be able to;
- Engage with the public, as well as internal and external stakeholders
- Follow direction provided by a supervisor, and communicate it to others
- Build and sustain professional relationships
- Contribute to the development of plans, strategies, and team goals
- Monitor task progress against performance expectations to ensure deadlines are met
- Undertake frequent travel across Tasmania
