About the role: We have 9 Aquatic Centre Operator roles available.
This dynamic role combines key functions within the aquatic centre, including reception and cash handling, lifeguarding, swim instruction, fitness training, and squad coaching.
The position supports multiskilling to enhance operational efficiency and job satisfaction.
Applicants must meet general criteria and possess essential qualifications for at least one function, with preference given to those skilled in multiple areas.
Training will be provided to expand capabilities, and duties will be assigned based on operational needs.
Active participation in training and flexibility across roles is essential.

1 x permanent full-time position 38 hours per week based on a 7-day roster, including weekends base salary ranging from $59,040 per annum with competency-based increments up to $62,029 per annum, plus 12% super (as per the Aquatic Centre Enterprise Agreement) 8 x permanent part-time positions base salary ranging from $29 per hour with competency-based increments up to $31 per hour, plus 12% super (as per the Aquatic Centre Enterprise Agreement) (minimum 5 hours) based on a 7-day roster, including weekends We are seeking: Deliver high standards of safety and emergency response through certified first aid and CPR competencies.
Apply sound knowledge of occupational health and safety practices within aquatic environments.
Communicate effectively with patrons and team members using strong written and verbal skills.
Provide exceptional customer service with a confident, friendly, and service-oriented approach.
Valid NSW Working with Children Clearance.

Role Specific Criteria: Reception/Customer Service: Demonstrated experience in cash handling associated with point of entry/sales.
Demonstrated experience utilising point of sale systems.
Lifeguard: Pool Life Guard Certificate RLSSA, or equivalent.
Demonstrated background and/or knowledge of aquatic environments.
Demonstrated competency to conduct routine testing of pool water ensuring that chemical levels are maintained at NSW Health standards.
– Water Quality (Desirable) Operation of small plant and equipment, e.g. pool vacuum cleaners, air blower, pressure sprayer, pool cover slave (Desirable) Pool Plant Operations Certificate RLSSA or equivalent.
(Desirable) Learn to Swim Instructor: Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience delivering prescribed learn to swim programs for toddlers, primary school and junior level as set out in the yearly teaching plan.
