Position Title: Apiarist

Weerona Apiaries - Sutton NSW

**Salary**: $90,000+ 10.5% superannuation

Weerona Apiaries are looking for an experienced apiarist for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, with hours worked variable as per seasonal requirements.

Weerona Apiaries is based in Sutton NSW with work carried out at various apiary sites across

NSW, ACT and Victoria

The apiarist will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

- Travel to and from apiaries
- Bee Husbandry - check for disease and general health of colonies
- Add and remove honey supers as required
- Extract honey from combs at central plant located Sutton NSW
- Replace queens as required
- Operate machinery as required including heavy vehicles
- General hive maintenance
- Work in a safe manner as per Health and Safety policies

For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:

- A bachelor's degree or least 5 years beekeeping experience with a commercial beekeeping enterprise
- Must have HR or higher drivers licence
- Must be able to stay on site at apiaries most weeks
- Must be reliable and of good character

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sutton, NSW 2620: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- HM Licence or higher (required)
