About The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experiencedCommercial Leadto join our team supporting our long-term detailed and bulk earthworks, electrical services, infrastructure and construction scopes inRockingham, WA.The role will be initially based at our Balcatta office and transitioning to Rockingham in February 2026.
As theCommercial Lead, you will be reporting to the Commercial Manager, and you will be responsible for responsible for leading all commercial and contractual functions, ensuring projects are delivered profitably, compliantly, and in line with client and business objectives.
Other Key Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including service agreements, procurement contracts, and partnership agreements.
Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing discrepancies and resolving issues as required.
Oversee contract renewals, extensions, and terminations in line with business needs.
Identify risks within contract terms and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Provide commercial and contractual guidance to internal teams, including procurement and project managers.
Lead and manage the commercial and procurement teams, allocating workloads and supporting professional development.
Develop and manage budgets for projects and departments, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Monitor and report on financial performance and key commercial metrics.
To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
5-7 years' experience in a Commercial leadership role.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, or a related field (desirable).
Extensive experience in contract preparation, negotiation, and management, working on major projects (ideally with the main contractor).
Strong understanding of legal terminology and contract law.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (essential).
Australian Defence background is desirable.
