About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Digital Experience Strategist
to lead our UI chapter, driving the craft of visual design across our digital products. As a key member of our product team, you will work closely with talented designers and engineers to reshape how millions of Australians engage with digital investing.
This is a unique opportunity to establish and grow a new UI chapter—building a high-performing team, cultivating a culture of design excellence, and leading the craft of visual design.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and Lead the UI Chapter
Establish and evolve the chapter's mission, operating rhythm, and standards for visual and interaction design
Set tangible goals for UI craft, consistency, and career progression
Champion the UI Designer role broadly across our organization, collaborating with product, CX, engineering, and brand to embed design quality in every phase
Coach, develop, and retain talent
Deliver outstanding UI Design (Squad Contribution)
Design System Collaboration
Stakeholder Engagement
Uplift UI Craft and Capability
You'll bring:
7+ years of experience designing beautiful, effective digital interfaces in agile product teams
Proven ability to lead UI strategy in complex, evolving product environments
Mastery of typography, color, layout, motion, and brand translation for digital products
Experience establishing and driving adoption of design systems at scale
A track record of coaching UI designers to improve their craft and career outcomes
Ability to balance design detail and speed in fast-paced delivery settings
Advanced expertise in Figma (preferred), Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping tools, and visual QA workflows
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), inclusive design principles, and digital compliance requirements
Strong skills presenting designs, rationale, and strategy to cross-functional and executive stakeholders
A UI design portfolio that showcases end-to-end craft, design system work, and measurable impact
