Training Officer, Rolling Stock

**Role Purpose**

**Key Accountabilities and responsibilities**
- **Induction & Refresher Training**

Prepare and deliver inductions, refresher courses, development days, and targeted interventions for Rolling Stock employees.
- **Competency Assessment**

Assess trainees to determine their competence and provide constructive feedback on performance.
- **kill Gap Identification**

Identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate actions to address them.
- **Performance Recommendations**

Recognise non-training performance issues and provide recommendations to the Team Manager.
- **Rolling Stock Training**

Deliver Rolling Stock modules and technical training as part of assets, corporate programs, and new employee inductions.
- **Project-Related Training**

Provide training for significant projects and the introduction of new or modified standards.
- **Documentation & Reporting**

Complete and maintain accurate training records, including results and recommendations, and enter data promptly into recording systems.
- **Safety in Training Delivery**

Ensure all training sessions are conducted safely and report any safety concerns to the Team Manager immediately.
- **Performance Metrics**

Meet training delivery targets, turn-around times, and quality standards to ensure effectiveness in the role.

**Skills and Experience**
- Must hold CERT IV Training and assessment
- T**raining & Assessment Expertise**

Skilled in training, coaching, assessment, and recommending updates to training materials, assessments, and procedures.
- S**ervice Quality & Safety Focus**

Strong commitment to delivering high-quality service with safe working practices.
- **Communication & Reporting Skills**

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear, concise reports.
- **Interpersonal & Conflict Resolution**

Proficient in building strong relationships and resolving conflicts effectively.
- **Attention to Detail & Work Prioritization**

Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy and prioritize tasks under pressure.
- **Technical** **& Software Proficiency**

Competent in using PCs, Microsoft Office, and role-specific software, along with holding required tram-driving licenses and competencies.
