As aFinancial Accountant, you'll work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant to manage critical financial operations, month-end processes, and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities
Perform month-end and year-end close processes for corporate entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare monthly Profit & Loss financial analysis and commentary
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
Assist with corporate cashflow management, including monitoring cash positions and forecasting future requirements
Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents to support the preparation of financial statements, audits, and to ensure tax compliance
Oversee and maintain corporate entity asset registers, ensuring accurate depreciation and asset tracking
Ensure timely lodgement and compliance of all statutory obligations, including BAS, PAYG withholding, FBT, Superannuation, Payroll Tax and Workcover requirements
Prepare and review complex account reconciliations
Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining strong financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure robust accounting practices and regulatory compliance
Participate in the implementation, enhancement, and continuous improvement of financial and accounting systems and processes
Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the finance function
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members when required
Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as directed by the Senior Financial Accountant and CFO
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in finance and/or accounting
Previous experience in a similar role or first mover from audit
Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Netsuite, Tech1, or Microsoft Dynamics
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong relationship management capabilities
Professional presentation and approach
