Job Title: Financial Accountant

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial accounting functions across multiple entities, both internal and external.

Working closely with the Senior Tax & Treasury Accountant and the Treasury & Taxation unit, you will help deliver comprehensive financial reporting, budget preparation, and management of our long-term financial plans.

You will also have the opportunity to provide professional accounting advice and business services support to external not-for-profit organisations, contributing to their success and sustainability.

Key responsibilities include preparing statutory returns, managing treasury services, assisting with internal reviews, and delivering high-quality financial reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Commerce / Business or similar degree
  • Studying towards, or eligibility and willingness to study, Certified Practising Accountant status (CPA Australia) or Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia)
  • Experience working in a relevant finance field
  • Understanding of relevant Accounting Standards
  • Sound understanding of accounting systems, computer concepts and programs
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word
