Network Security Engineer Role
As a senior network security engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust network security infrastructure. With extensive experience in complex IT environments, ideally within the financial sector, you must excel in both individual and team settings and adapt to evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation, configuration, and upgrade of hardware, systems, and software for networks.
Monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting, and continuous improvement to optimize network and security performance.
Contribution to design input for infrastructure delivery requirements.
Risk identification, analysis, and management at every aspect of work.
Establishing and enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access to secure network systems.
Project design and architecture work, including high-level and detailed design.
Providing technical consultation to stakeholders to support relevant infrastructure partners and other stakeholders.
Experience includes developing low-level design documents for enterprise security architecture, load balancing design, build, and implementation experience with F5 LTM, GTM, APM, building proxies and authentication profiles, enterprise switching and routing configuration experience with BGP/OSPF, VXLAN, VTP, BFD, IPS/IDS policy configuration, implementation, and events analysis, exposure to logging platforms like Elastic, Splunk, etc., and working knowledge of monitoring tools like Netscout, SolarWinds, Thousand-eyes, Accedian, etc.
Requirements:
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Able to demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement, converting business requirements into technical requirements.
Self-motivated and self-driven, collaboration and teamwork mindset, ability to handle pressure and prioritize delivery with multiple teams.
Good understanding of processes, standards, and compliance requirements and understanding of risks and mitigation techniques.
