Located in Tynong the Pakenham Racing Club is seeking an ambitious and hard-working individual to join our team as a Track and Grounds Assistant, with an opportunity to work across all aspects of racecourse maintenance, primarily focused on the racecourse surrounds. If you are passionate about the outdoors and love being active, this is the perfect opportunity for you

**About the Role**

As a Track and Grounds Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

- Mowing, brush cutting, garden maintenance,
- Operation of water trucks and tractors for horse walk maintenance,
- Assisting with running rail moves and general repairs,
- Assisting with race day operations and racecourse infrastructure projects.
- This is a Full-Time position, you will enjoy a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, working from 8.30am - 4.30pm. However, some night and weekend work will be required around the racing schedule, which means you will have the chance to experience the excitement of race day operations and be part of the team that makes it all happen.

You will work alongside passionate individuals who share a love for the sport of racing. While you will be part of a larger team, you will also have the opportunity to work independently and take ownership of your work.

**Skills & Experience**
- To excel in this role, you will need to be able to lift heavy objects, bend and move without restriction.
- Operate maintenance equipment.
- You must also have your own transport and car licence, as we value reliability and trustworthiness.
- Current First Aid & CPR qualifications would be desirable.
