Senior Risk Analyst Position
We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Risk Analyst. This pivotal position will involve analyzing risks within our commodity trading portfolios, encompassing Oil, LNG, Gas, and Coal.
About the Role
This key risk analysis position demands exceptional analytical skills, proactive attitude, and experience in energy derivatives and commodity markets.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Analysis:
Develop innovative tools and analytical models to provide insights into the energy commodity landscape and our market exposures.
Risk Model Management:
Manage key risk models, including data sourcing, validation, and reconciliation of model inputs and outputs.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely risk reporting, and communicate market developments and trading position changes across the commodity portfolio.
Documentation and Maintenance:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of risk models, methodologies, and assumptions.
Requirements
Educational Background:
Tertiary qualifications in economics, mathematics, or a related discipline (CFA).
Industry Experience:
Experience in energy derivatives and commodity markets.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Technical Skills:
Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualisation tools.
Quantitative Finance:
A solid understanding of quantitative finance concepts.
Programming Skills:
Proficiency in programming and data tools such as VBA, SQL, and Python.
