Iluka offers an inclusive and diverse work environment, reflecting the communities we operate in.About CatabyThe Cataby mining operation is a large-scale surface mining and wet separation processing facility located 150 km north of Perth.
The site processes ore to produce Heavy Mineral Concentrate, which is transported to our processing plants in Narngulu and Capel.
The operation handles up to 14 million BCM of overburden and processes 10 million tonnes of ore annually.About the roleAs the Learning & Development Officer at Cataby, your role is crucial in developing our operational and technical workforce and improving health and safety outcomes.This is a permanent DIDO role with a roster of 5 days on / 2 days off or 4 days on / 3 days off.Key responsibilities include:Collaborating with site stakeholders to identify, plan, and deliver learning needsUsing systems and data for learning needs analysis to meet competency and compliance standardsCoordinating external vendors for training and assessmentsDesigning and reviewing training materials and initiativesProviding learning design support to subject matter expertsManaging inductions for new employees and contractors, including online setupsMaintaining course documentation and schedules in LMS (Workday Learning)Supporting on-site operators and technicians in training progression and monitoringTravel to other sites and offices may be required for training delivery or supporting initiatives.About youTo succeed, you will have:Experience in learning and development within mining or industrial environmentsTAE40116 or TAE40120 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain)Strong communication skills across levelsExcellent coordination and scheduling abilitiesProficiency with MS Office and learning management systemsAbility to collaborate effectively with teamsExperience delivering operational courses such as permit issuing, hot work, dust awareness, fire safetyOur offerSupportive, inclusive, and collaborative cultureUp to 18 weeks paid parental leaveOption to purchase additional leaveCompetitive salary and bonus schemesCompany share matchingWe support, empower, and include our people to help them reach their potential.If you share our values of Integrity, Respect, Courage, Accountability, and Collaboration, and have the skills and experience to contribute, apply now.Full working rights in Australia are required.Applications close: 5th September 2025We value diversity and encourage applications from all backgrounds.
