, specialises in flexible, fast, and straightforward senior-secured mortgages under $3 million. With a deep commitment to service, transparency, and investor alignment, we deliver outstanding outcomes to borrowers and capital partners alike.
We operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a tight-knit team of around 10. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Lending and broader leadership team, with the role primarily based in Melbourne but occasional interstate travel opportunities available as we grow our footprint nationally.
The Role
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused
Senior Business Development Manager
to grow and manage our pipeline of property-backed loan opportunities across Australia. While playing a key role in both
Jadig Finance
and
Simple Property Loans
, your focus will be expanding the reach of the
Simple Property Loans
brand, originating deals, engaging with brokers and developers, and working closely with internal teams to assess, structure, and close transactions. This is a client-facing, high-impact role for someone who thrives on deal flow and delivering quality credit outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Origination:
Build and maintain a high-quality loan pipeline by sourcing senior-secured mortgage opportunities through a network of brokers, developers, and referral partners.
Assessment & Structuring:
Conduct credit risk analysis, financial modelling, and prepare high-level loan proposals and submissions in line with our investment criteria.
Stakeholder Management:
Liaise with borrowers, introducers, solicitors, and internal teams throughout the loan lifecycle - from term sheet to settlement.
Market Insight:
Stay across market trends in property development, commercial lending, and private credit to ensure high deal quality and alignment with fund mandates.
Collaboration:
Work with Lending, Legal, Operations and Investment teams to streamline approvals and mitigate risks.
Brand Representation:
Act as an ambassador for Simple Property Loans at industry events, broker meetings, and investor briefings.
What We're Looking For
Experience:
5+ years in property finance, lending origination, or mortgage broking.
Skills:
Strong deal-sourcing ability, relationship management, commercial and financial acumen.
Tools and Systems:
Familiarity with CRM platforms, Excel-based modelling, and credit submission processes.
Network:
A strong existing network of brokers, property developers, and financial intermediaries is a major plus. Demonstrated contributions to branding, marketing, or business development initiatives are also highly regarded.
Personality:
Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and relationship driven. You enjoy building trust and helping clients succeed.
