**Description of the role**:
Austin Engineering have an exciting opportunity for a **Spare Parts Standardisation Specialist** based either in **Perth** (WA) or **Mackay **(QLD).
You will be responsible for standardising spare parts management processes across Austin Engineering's operations, improving quality control, and optimising inventory.
**Mandatory Qualifications & License**:
**We are looking for an applicant that can demonstrate the following**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Leverage our manufacturing hub overseas to produce and distribute critical parts efficiently.
- Ensure that a complete and professional sales service is provided to all customers.
- Attract and retain key customers by developing strong trusted client relationships.
- Identify opportunities for new and repeat business and deliver on sales targets.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely management of all spare part product sales estimates for Australasia.
- Ensure that you are constantly checking prices and other input costs with the relevant departments.
- Discuss the appropriate margin levels with the management.
- Develop new and innovative ways to improve estimating accuracy and improve the time in completing quotes for customers.
- Provide monthly reports
- Input Sales data into relevant spreadsheets and keeping them up to date.
- Provide Technical sales advice in relation to spare parts to all customers in relation to the sale of new products.
- Manage all Spare Parts quotations to ensure all enquires are being handled in a timely manner with accurate costing and on time delivery to the customer.
**Knowledge & Skills**
- Extensive experience in spare parts management or product standardisation.
- Knowledge of inventory management, procurement strategies, and quality control processes.
- Strong understanding of OEM specifications and material quality standards.
- Knowledge and experience of parts interpretation in an engineering and manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of contemporary trends and issues within the mining industry.
- Exposure to Microsoft software packages desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
