As part of our growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Risk Manager Business to join our Finance team in Melbourne.

About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Risk Manager to champion and embed the risk and compliance framework within ISPT. This will be done by partnering with business managers to perform key control assessments that assist the development of a robust and effective risk culture.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk and Compliance, you will make an impact within the team by providing recommendations for control improvements, play a key role in the implementation and ongoing design of a new risk and compliance system, conduct training and facilitate risk workshops, control test over key business unit processes in order to identify areas of improvement and monitor and manage the governance of control self-assessments.

About you

You have an aptitude for continuous improvement and simplification whilst confidently challenging the status quo in a supportive and inclusive environment. You love engaging and developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, whilst being a strategic thinker who likes to think 'outside the box'.

Five plus years' experience in controls assurance and conducting risk and control assessments and a solid understanding of APRA regulations is highly desirable, as well as degree qualified in accounting, law or similar.
