Senior Manager Governance and Delivery – Group Business Resilience OverviewSenior Manager Governance and Delivery – Group Business Resilience role responsible for protecting the Group's assets, people, customers and brand through the strategic direction and governance of Group Business Resilience (GBR).
Provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to build and sustain world-class resilience capabilities.
Leads design, implementation and ongoing refinement of strategic uplift programs to advance Group Resilience priorities and executes a diverse portfolio of continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen governance, enhance process excellence, uplift organisational capability and enable large-scale change management across the Group.Works across all Group AOCs and functional disciplines to enable integrated and rapid responses to complex risks and disruptions.
Leads resilience planning and development of strategic capabilities to adapt and respond in a dynamic operating environment.
Partners with the Head of Group Business Resilience and Continuity, with accountability for delivering enterprise-wide resilience outcomes and managing a dedicated team and specialist suppliers.Successful candidates will demonstrate strong stakeholder influence at executive and operational levels, deep expertise in transformation and risk programs, proven people leadership, and a culture of resilience, agility and proactive risk management.Responsibilities Lead delivery of a complex portfolio of uplift programs for Group Business ResiliencePartner across all Group AOCs and functions to enhance governance, process excellence, capability uplift and enable rapid, integrated responses to complex risksDirect accountability for a dedicated team and specialist suppliers within enterprise-wide resilience initiativesQualifications and Experience Minimum 10+ years progressive experience in enterprise governance, portfolio management, strategic operations, continuous improvement, or similarTertiary qualification with advanced qualification in Portfolio Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Safety Systems or related discipline (Master's degree preferred)Minimum 10+ years progressive experience in enterprise governance, continuous improvement or business resilience rolesDemonstrated expertise in developing and implementing governance frameworks, risk frameworks systems, and business continuity programsPeople leadership experienceAbility to understand regulatory requirements, industry standards (ISO 22301, AS/NZS 5050), and best practice crisis responsesStrategic thinking and systems design with ability to conceptualize and implement enterprise-wide solutionsChange management expertise with demonstrated success in driving organizational transformation and system adoptionExecutive presence and ability to influence senior leadership, board-level committees, and external stakeholdersComplex project management skills with experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives across diverse business unitsMatrix leadership capabilities with proven success through influenceStrong change management capabilities and exceptional communication skills for executive audiencesStakeholder engagement across internal divisions, regulatory bodies, emergency services, and community organizationsNegotiation and consensus-building to manage competing prioritiesCultural intelligence and ability to work across diverse organizational cultures and external partnershipsContinuous improvement capabilities, including process optimisationWhy Qantas?
