Job DescriptionAbout the role: Are you an experienced aerospace quality specialist ready to shape the future of Defence aviation?
This is your chance to play a strategic role in sustaining one of Australia's most advanced airborne capabilities - the MC-55A Peregrine, Defence's cutting-edge platform for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Defence stakeholders and industry partners to deliver internal aviation regulatory and quality oversight.
Your expertise will be critical in maintaining the airworthiness, reliability, and mission-readiness of the MC-55A Peregrine fleet.Please note: This role will be offered as an initial maximum term contract of 2 years.
Relocation assistance may be available, subject to terms and conditions.
What you will be involved in: Develop and manage the MC-55A Peregrine Quality Management System to ensure alignment with Defence Aviation policies and regulatory requirements Maintain ASCISPO DASR 21 Part C Organisation Approval, ensuring compliance with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations for design and production activities within the Airborne Surveillance and Control Integrated Systems Program Office Maintain CASG ISO 9001:2015 Certification, supporting the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group's commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement under internationally recognised standards Engage with internal and external stakeholders to lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across the MC-55A Enterprise Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of Defence personnel and industry partners to deliver outcomes that uphold the airworthiness and operational readiness of the MC-55A Peregrine fleet What we would like from you: Experienced in both quality management and Defence Aviation Safety Regulations, with a background in a CASG Aircraft Sustainment System Program Office (SPO) Demonstrated capability in quality auditing and managing compliance frameworks Skilled in stakeholder engagement, with a collaborative approach across Defence and industry Holds an NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance and is an Australian citizen Life at Nova – it all adds up
