**The Role**:
The position requires you to have an understanding of the commercial and compliance requirements of our business. You will be proficient in payroll processes, and employee rosters to identify areas for efficiency improvements. The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage change and a keen eye for detail.

**What you need to succeed**:
The right culture fit for our company and people is the most important attribute, along with the following skills:
- Manage and monitor work schedules and labour allocation to ensure optimal productivity.
- Regularly analyse roster and labour costs to optimize these expenses.
- Collaborate with the site managers to improve efficiency and effectiveness of labour on sites.
- Improvement of labour performance at a site level.
- Develop and implement labour control strategies and procedures.
- Collaborate with HR team to support compliance fair work and industrial relation laws.
- Conduct regular audits of labour practices and procedures to identify and rectify any inefficiencies or issues.
- Collaborate with the HR, Operations and Finance team to forecast labour needs and develop labour budgets.
- In collaboration with HR team identify any labour-related issues or disputes, including those related to overtimes, breaks, and shift allocations.
- Support HR team to facilitate onboarding and training for new management hires around labour management and rostering.
- Analyse data and report on labour control to the senior management.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current labour control measures and propose improvements to processes and systems.
**Essential Experience and Attributes**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or related field. Advanced degrees or certification in Human Resources, payroll management, or financial management would be beneficial.
- Proven experience in payroll management, roster optimization, and labour cost control.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll procedures, labour laws, and regulations.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll software, and financial management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
