General Practitioner Role in Tasmania's West Coast
Are you a motivated and compassionate General Practitioner seeking a meaningful rural role? Ochre Medical Centre is looking for a committed VR GP to join our small but vital healthcare team in this unique, close-knit community.
We offer permanent full-time or part-time GP positions, or a rotating hybrid model. Our mixed billing structure offers high billings per consult, ensuring a secure financial future. You will be well-established with a patient base from day one, and we provide assistance with accommodation and car.
Earn up to $350K per year, eligible for rural relocation and retention grants. DPA status and MMM6 location ensure a significant reduction in moratorium. We are a solo-GP practice with excellent nursing and admin support, providing a broad range of general practice services including:
Chronic disease management
Emergency care and stabilisation
Mental health
Family planning & vaccinations
Skin checks & minor procedures

To succeed in this role, you will require:
Vocational Registration (FRACGP/FACRRM) or General Registration with AHPRA
Comfortable working in a solo-GP environment with remote support
Broad clinical experience across primary and emergency care
Interest in rural health, community medicine, and adventure
