Remote General Practitioner Opportunity

The Tasmanian wilderness offers a unique backdrop for this remote general practitioner role, supporting the local community with essential healthcare services.

This position involves working as a solo GP across two clinics in Zeehan and Strahan, enjoying administrative support, regular feedback, and a positive work environment.

  • Monday: Solo GP at Zeehan clinic with nurse support every other week.
  • Tuesday to Friday: Solo GP at Strahan clinic with 3 days of nursing and 1 day of phlebotomist cover.

Clinic hours are 9am-5pm, with no emergency department work required. The clinic uses Best Practice software and offers 15-minute consultation times in a mixed billing practice.

The Location

Strahan is a charming town on Tasmania's west coast, offering stunning waterfront views and opportunities for outdoor activities like coastal walks or sailing through the UNESCO Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.

Zeehan is just 30 minutes away, boasting a rich history and one of Tasmania's best history museums.
