**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**:
Are you passionate about creating safer, more welcoming public spaces? As the City Issues Officer, you'll be at the forefront of initiatives that shape how people experience the City of Melbourne every day.
Working closely with the Program Manager City Issues, you'll help deliver projects that improve safety, enhance public amenity, and build stronger community connections. You'll collaborate with residents, businesses, and a wide network of internal and external partners to identify and resolve issues that affect how people feel and move through the city.
In this role, you'll also lead the coordination of our homelessness outreach efforts—managing key contracts, supporting weekly Rough Sleeping Hotspots meetings, and ensuring responsive, compassionate service delivery. Your work will directly support some of Melbourne's most vulnerable community members.

- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative and practical solutions for complex issues.
- Demonstrated experience developing constructive relationships with diverse communities, people, organisations and partners
- Demonstrated skills in project management and ability to implement outcomes using a variety of skills.
- Excellent skills in written and oral communication and an ability to proactively maintain and adapt communication styles based on organisation preferences.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of contract management
Desirable:
- Demonstrated experience working in or with the public sector
