About The Role
Join AGL as a Process Safety Manager
Location: Bayswater Power Station, Muswellbrook, NSW (open to supporting relocation assistance)
Employment Type: Full-time Permanent (Hybrid)
AGL is hiring a skilled Process Safety Manager for a hands-on, site-based/hybrid role at Bayswater Power Station. Our ideal candidate could have experience in power generation, heavy industry, or gas. You\'ll help develop and implement the Process Safety Management Plan, ensure compliance with best practices, work with operators, lead meetings, and present safety metrics to leadership.

What We're Looking For
A Senior Engineer or Engineering Manager with strong communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
Someone who can confidently engage with operators and technicians and present to executives.
A professional with technical expertise and a desire to grow in process safety.
A proactive leader who can run meetings, coach others, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Support the governance and execution of the Process Safety Management Plan.
Lead and coordinate Management of Change (MOC) activities and SAP administration.
Conduct incident investigations, alarm management reviews, and provide functional safety oversight.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure safety-critical controls are integrated into asset plans.
Conduct HAZOPs and CHAZOPs for new plant and processes.
Present process safety metrics and progress to senior leadership.
Stay informed on industry advancements and apply best practices.
Deliver in-house training on process safety, MOC, and technical compliance.
Qualifications And Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience in utilities, power generation, or large-scale process plants or heavy industry, mining, and oil and gas.
An understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
Experience with SAP, MyHSE, and other technical systems is desirable.
