Knowledge Lead

**Summary**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our internally-facing Knowledge & Expertise team as a Knowledge Lawyer for our Disputes, Competition & Insurance Line of Business.

**About the Role and Team**

The firm's Knowledge & Expertise team sits within our broader Digital group, supporting the Firm's business operations. It is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the capture, distribution and effective use of MinterEllison enterprise information assets to drive digital transformation, innovation and client engagement. The team manages legal research, business research, precedents as well as our intranet and collaboration platforms. The team provides resources for the sharing and reusing of knowledge and upskills lawyers in using these resources.

This is a newly created role that will support the national Disputes, Competition and Insurance Line of Business in their knowledge management requirements, working directly with Business Unit Leaders and Partners. As the largest and most diverse Line of Business within the firm, the role requires an exceptional self-starter who can manage competing priorities and a broad range of stakeholders.

The Knowledge Lawyer will also play a key role in executing the new Knowledge Management strategy for the Firm, focused on creating a culture of knowledge sharing, improving the knowledge management experience for our employees and clients.

**More About You**
- 3-7 years' experience practising within Australia at a premier commercial law firm
- Experience in commercial dispute litigation, insurance, competition and consumer law favourable
- Knowledge of governance structures with law firms
- Ability to create, advise upon and lead knowledge projects for the firm
- Technical legal knowledge to understand legislative changes and how they flow through to Precedent documents
- Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to confidently present information to a range of stakeholders
- Ability to build and leverage on relationships internally and externally
- Commitment to client service and delivering results
- High level problem analysis/troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail, outcomes and completion focused
- Ability to work effectively with a broad range of legal and administrative teams at all levels
- Strong project and time management skills including the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Must hold or be able to obtain a current Australian Practising Certificate
