Visiting Medical Officer in Gastroenterology
We are seeking an experienced specialist to provide high-quality diagnostic and consultative services in Gastroenterology/Hepatology.
The primary purpose of the role is to deliver exceptional care and participate in teaching, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities under the General Medicine Department.
The successful applicant will be responsible for participating in the Gastroenterology/Liver consultant roster, including inpatient consults and the Liver Clinic.
The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and promote an academic environment that supports education, research, and professional development.
In addition to the above, the role will require participation in various hospital activities, including:
Participating in the gastroenterology/liver consultant roster
Providing high-quality patient care
Developing and implementing treatment plans
Maintaining accurate records and reports
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals
To be considered for this role, you must be registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Gastroenterology) or equivalent specialist recognition.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Registration with AHPRA or eligibility for registration
