Strahan is a small town and working port that serves as the gateway to the stunning UNESCO Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Located approximately 4.5 hours from Hobart or Launceston, Strahan Village is located in the heart of Strahan and offers an abundance of character and unique stories of the area's pioneering history. We're hiring** multiple casual team members** to join us at the **start of September** for the busy summer season. We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to help us deliver the outstanding service we're known for. You'll ideally be able to **commit to at least six months**, including availability over the festive Christmas and New Year period.

We're on the lookout for:

- ** Experienced Bartenders** with a passion for premium service
- ** Wait Staff** with experience in events, functions and banquets
- ** Baristas** who can juggle multiple coffee orders at once

**What you'll do**:
You may work in a variety of our food and beverage outlets, however you will mainly work from **View 42 Restaurant and Lounge Bar**. View 42 Restaurant serves a hearty breakfast buffet and its renowned carvery dinner buffet, making it a popular choice for tour groups and large bookings. During peak times, you'll need to multitask efficiently and manage a high volume of guests within tight timeframes.

The Lounge Bar offers a premium experience, featuring contemporary cocktails and a curated selection of Tasmanian wines. Guests can enjoy a light menu while taking in one of the most breathtaking views on Tasmania's West Coast. The lounge's inviting wood fire creates the perfect setting to relax with pre-dinner drinks. You'll treat our guests and customers as individuals, offering tailored options and solutions with a resilient and can-do attitude. On a daily basis you will:

- Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages.
- Ensure accurate processing of dockets, including cashiering duties.
- Setup and reset restaurants and specific conference & function activities as required.
- Ensure the venue and buffet are consistently maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

**What you'll bring**:

- Food and beverage service experience with a passion for great food showcasing local produce
- Strong bar, cocktail and mixology experience
- Barista skills (ability to manage high number of orders in a short window)
- Understanding of sequence of service principles and general service operations
- Previous experience working functions, events or large groups
- Physical strength is essential for setting up and relocating tables and chairs.
- A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
- Genuine interest and knowledge of beverage products such as spirits, beer, and wine.
- A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion
- Australian driver's license
- Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays
