January Holiday Care For 14 Year Old With Special

**Job Description**:
**Our Family**:
- We are seeking support for a 14 year old young man who is profoundly intellectually and physically disabled. He nevertheless has a lovely, happy disposition and enjoys all kinds of activities, particularly playing and listening to music. Our immediate need is support each weekday morning in January from 10am-1pm. Ideally we would like someone who might then continue working with us beyond January, particularly assisting with evening routine, showering etc. between 6pm-9pm, and providing support on Saturday and Sunday mornings during school terms.
**Your Duties**:
- Provide interesting and fun activities at home. Attend to care needs including toileting, tube feeding etc. We will provide training if the applicant is not familiar with tube feeding.
**Our Perfect Caregiver**:
- Experience in special needs is highly desirable. The position would suit a casual special needs teachers' aide who is free in holidays, a student of special education, or a student of one of the allied health disciplines. We are located in Wahroonga and prefer applicants living within relatively close proximity.
