Pay: $35 – $40 per hour depending on experience

A warm, fun loving family in Marrickville, NSW are seeking a nurturing and confident nanny to care for their 3 month old baby girl during the day and assist with her 4 year old siblings after daycare.

The days and normal hours are – 2 days, 17 hours per week. Monday and Tuesday 9am – 5.30pm

The family are looking for someone who is able to provide caring and loving support.

A nanny who can follow the baby's routine and provide fun, creative and stimulating indoor and outdoor activities that will assist in her growth and development.

Ideally someone who can pick up the twins from daycare in the afternoon while the baby stays home with mum, and assist with the afternoon and evening routines.

Someone who values children's safety, is trustworthy, reliable, and respectful and able to form a special bond with the whole family.

The role will mostly consist of taking care of the baby independently while mum either works from home or goes into the office during the day.

The carer's responsibilities for this role will be as follows:

  • To care for the children
  • Follow the children's routines
  • Play and engage with the children
  • Pick the older children up from daycare
  • Light household duties – family laundry, cleaning/sterilising of bottles, keeping common areas tidy, and changing the baby's linen.
  • Help prepare/cook meals for the children

The family's expectations from their nanny are:

  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years nanny or childcare experience
  • Must have newborn experience
  • Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
  • Have a current Working with Children Check
  • Display strong communication skills and speak English
  • Follow child safety practices at all times
  • Full driver's license and clean driving record (own car preferred but family car available for use)
