We are looking for a capable Operations Manager to lead the team and guide the business into its next chapter.
The Opportunity

As Operations Manager, you'll oversee all workshop and admin functions, including workflow planning, customer service, safety, compliance, team leadership, and reporting. You will help ensure the business delivers consistently high workmanship and service, enabling owners to focus on growth and strategy. The role includes structured training, coaching opportunities, and clear pathways to develop leadership within the business.
What a Day Might Look Like
You start the day ensuring the workshop floor is set, jobs are assigned, and the schedule is clear.
You troubleshoot issues, support the team, and maintain clear communication between admin and workshop.
You follow up with clients, manage supplier relationships, and monitor parts, performance, and progress.
You prepare a clear summary for the owners on performance, improvements, and upcoming work.
You leave each day with the team supported, customers satisfied, and the business in good hands.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Manage daily workflow across the workshop and admin teams.
Monitor operations, address issues early, and keep schedules on track.
Maintain clean, organized, and efficient workspaces.
Lead reporting on productivity, job completion, and service delivery.
Team Development
Set clear expectations and create an environment where people can do their best work.
Provide on-the-floor support and mentoring, particularly for developing team members.
Build and maintain a team culture grounded in professionalism, pride, and mutual respect.
Client & Supplier Relationships
Handle client inquiries, job updates, and service issues with clarity and care.
Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Represent the business with professionalism and accountability.
Systems, Safety & Reporting
Lead safety and compliance efforts, including regular audits and toolbox talks.
Identify opportunities to improve systems, reduce delays, and elevate performance.
Provide consistent operational reporting to the owners.
What You'll Bring
Experience running or managing a service-based, workshop-style business.
A strong understanding of mechanical or auto-electrical work environments.
Team leadership skills with practical, down-to-earth communication.
High levels of organisation with the ability to balance detail and big-picture thinking.
