Sedgman is actively hiring a CHPP Operator Maintainer to join our dynamic team in Burton on a 7/7 roster. We welcome applicants with electrical or mechanical skills.

Discover our Burton Operations: an open-cut coal mine based in Queensland's Bowen Basin, providing on-site accommodation at Kerlong Village with full dining and gym facilities.
- With support from the CHPP Superintendent and broader team, you will play an essential role in our daily operations, championing our core values of integrity, accountability, innovation, delivery, and safety.
- **Primary Duties**:

- Daily operation of the CHPP plant in accordance with Sedgman procedures, achieving CHPP performance targets.
- Inspect operational equipment regularly to detect defects early and take corrective actions.
- Monitor equipment performance, including levels, pressures, flows, material recovery, sizing, water supplies, and sampling.
- Clear blockages in pipe work, pumps, chutes, screens, boxes, distributors, crushers, breakers, overloaded conveyors, sumps, and tanks.
- Maintain cleanliness by clearing spillages and washing down areas to uphold housekeeping standards.
- Safely operate mobile equipment and maintain a clean cab.
- Adjust pressures, belts, tracks, conduct lubrication checks and replace components like hoses, valves and filters.
- Drive CHPP operation improvements, optimising plant performance and uptime.

**Who are you?**
- Trade Qualified - Australian recognised Electrical of Mechanical Qualification.
- Certified Black Coal Competency with S1, S2 and S3 accreditation.
- Prior work experience in mining, civil, or an industrial environment is essential.
- Live in the Bowen Basin or nearby region.
- Known for being a positive and safety-conscious team player.
