**About Them**
The Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) is the national association representing human resource and people management specialists in Australia supporting over 16,000 members. AHRI enables the profession through its membership model, professional standards and certification, professional development opportunities, HR knowledge and insights through AHRI Assist, and using its voice to advocate for and influence HR best practice.

Having gone through a period of transformation, AHRI has revamped their service offering and technology to provide a range of new content and services to their members. This has been supported a sustainable business model and dynamic operating model.

**About the Role**
Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager, People & Culture will have responsibility for the operational and strategic people requirements of the organisation within the context of the AHRI strategy and business plan. Supporting a workforce of approximately 60 passionate and engaged employees, this generalist role wears many hats that extend beyond workforce planning, succession planning, recruitment, performance management, talent and leadership development, to also include CEO and Board reporting, advocacy in government, and undertaking Senior Leader Certification assessments.

With a strong functional relationship with the General Manager, HR Standards & Learning, this role will also contribute to the AHRI Content strategy and provide member insights to the executive team.

**About Success**
Seen by employees as a senior HR expert, you will share views and insights, modelling the qualities of an HR partner to AHRI internal and external stakeholders, whilst also using HR data and metrics to inform AHRI's people strategies. Managing the AHRI Assist team, and driving uplift in leadership and management capability and behaviour in partnership with the CEO, will also be key to success.

**About You**
AHRI is looking for an experienced and passionate HR Leader with a deep knowledge and management of contemporary HR theory, practice and key trends. You have demonstrated your ability to flex between strategic and operational people requirements, with empathy towards operating in a small business environment. You are known for your exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships, and have actively contributed to a transformation agenda as part of an executive team.

Your passion for the HR profession will be evident and infectious. You have great networks in the HR Community and an innovative approach coupled with strong business acumen.

The successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in business, HR or a related field, and AHRI certification (CPHR or FCPHR) or be willing to personally complete with the AHRI Certification Program.
