Overview
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our sourcing activities and drive cost savings while maintaining high-quality standards.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
Location: Charlotte, NC
Responsibilities
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and ensure the availability of materials and services required to support business objectives.
Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring supplier performance meets established standards.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through supplier consolidation, process improvements, and other initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing opportunities, including product development, quality, and logistics teams.
Analyze market trends and identify new sources of supply to ensure the most cost-effective procurement of materials.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including finance, engineering, and operations teams.
Develop and manage procurement budgets for assigned categories.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain management, with a focus on cost savings and supplier management
Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with ERP systems is preferred
