Commercial Portfolio ManagerAbout the role :Join Aurizon's successful Bulk Customer and Growth team, managing customer accounts to deliver strong commercial outcomes as the Commercial Portfolio Manager based at the Perth, Welshpool office.
This role will support a diverse network of operations, spanning rail, road, and port logistics.This key role will be accountable for partnering with major mining customers and internal/external operational teams to deliver strong commercial outcomes across your portfolio of customers.
Within your portfolio, you will develop and leverage strong customer relationships to optimise current revenue contracts and drive business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities.Key responsibilities include :Build and maintain excellent relationships across your customer portfolio and all functions within Aurizon to optimise the flow of customer information.Serve as the lead expert for all customer intelligence within your portfolio, including identifying and facilitating potential future business growth opportunities or decline risks, and developing long-term strategic solutions.Lead the design and development of customer proposals, tender responses, and business cases, working cross-functionally with Operations, Legal, and Finance, and managing internal approval processes with Senior Executives.Negotiate and manage contracts with customers, focusing on renewing contracts before expiry.
Anticipate how contractual and pricing mechanisms influence behaviors and outcomes for Aurizon and the customer.Develop and maintain key account management plans for each customer.Ensure the delivery of contractual performance requirements, managing issues to the satisfaction of both customers and internal stakeholders.Develop and deliver timely, accurate reports, documents, and data as required.About you :As an energetic and passionate commercial leader, you will be driven to deliver customer outcomes that create value across our diverse portfolio.
You will possess :Strong commercial experienceUniversity qualification in Economics, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline (preferred)High-level management and leadership skills with the ability to develop, implement, and achieve goals and targetsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and written communicationHigh proficiency in customer service delivery within a large commercial organizationSolid understanding of financial analysis and business strategy, with a data-driven decision-making approachEffective collaboration skills as a key team contributorWhat we offer :At Aurizon, we support our employees' development and growth.
