**Lived Experience Worker - Aged Persons Mental Health**

Latrobe Regional Hospital have an exciting new opportunity for a person who has supported someone above 65 through the mental health service, to join the Specialist and Therapeutic programs team on a part-time ongoing Basis.

This role plays an important role in providing a specialist carer lived experience perspective into the Mental Health Program service planning, service delivery and evaluation.

The successful applicant will:

- Ensure an awareness of the aged persons lived experience role within the organisation.
- Work directly with Carers and other relevant LRH staff to assist the carer with their consumers recovery in a practical, therapeutic, and meaningful way across the service including inpatient units as directed
- Sharing of lived experience and help to facilitate of a range of activities (including training) to encourage full participation of both consumer and carers in our mental health services
- Ensure the lived experience workforce is represented in the development and provision of information and advocacy to consumers and carers to enhance their experience of our services
