**About the position**

We are looking for dynamic and team-orientated person to manager our Area Managers who provide a high level of customer service to veterinary industry partners and clients. The role we are offering is a **permanent full-time **basis.

Reporting to the State Manager you will:

- Manage the day-to-day allocation of the driving teams collections and returns including urgent home collections/same day services, after hours collections
- Cover for any of the Area Manager team in their absence (if casual replacement is unavailable).
- Manage rosters, area runs and remote country services
- Work closely with Relationship Managers to deliver vet services and emergency needs
- Monitor, train and measure the Area Managers service delivery by actively going out with the team on their daily runs
- Create a positive team culture and communication within the Area Managers
- Plan and execute regular team meetings and huddles and deliver relevant Toolbox talks.
- Take a strong lead in Health and Safety implementation and enforcement
- Management of servicing and maintenance of fleet vehicles
- Liaise with Veterinary Owners and Practice Managers to develop and promote the business
- Take personal responsibility for upholding standards relating to presentation, property, hygiene, including prompt reporting of loss, damage, or maintenance needs
- Taking responsibility of reporting hazards and risks that may cause harm or injury, and adhering to WH&S policies and procedures

To be successful you will need:

- To be able to lift up to 25 kg
- To have a full car drivers licence and be able to provide a drivers report
- Be customer focussed and work with our grieving pet owners
- Have a genuine love of animals - all shapes and sizes
