**About the role**
We are looking for an operations Manager to lead our Motor Assessing and Repair team, here at RACQ
Reporting to the Head of Motor Claims and Assessing, your role will be to provide industry leading assessing and repair outcomes through delivering outstanding member experiences for Members whilst balancing cost, quality and timeliness and building a highly capable and engaged team. In this role you will build capability across the Assessing Division with fundamental frameworks of internal and external technical abilities, training, and development, particularly in line with Industry changes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Driving the delivery of Assessing & Repair services
- Evolving the capability and performance across the team to be ahead of evolving Industry changes
- Providing technical insights and collaborating with departments regarding the assessment and repair processes, business performance and delivery
- Working with internal and external stakeholder to address operational performance within the Selected Repairer Network, and representing RACQ at State or National Industry forums
- Ensuring the delivery of Assessing & Repair outcomes comply with the RACQ Code of Conduct and other relevant external acts and codes as applied throughout RACQ e.g., General Insurance Code of Practice, MVIRI Code of Conduct, National Privacy Principles and FSRA, APRA, ATO, ASIC, etc
**About you**
As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for all Motor Assessing Repair delivery. You will drive performance and engagement through leaders and drive alignment to the strategic objectives of the broader Insurance division. You will support both your own and the broader Motor Leadership group to achieve common objectives, while upholding our member-focussed culture and RACQ Values. You will be influential with stakeholders, and your strong collaborative style will build strong internal and external relationships with our partners. You will have a risk-focussed mind-set and have workplace safety and compliance at the forefront of mind. As well as this, as a manager you must have:
- At least 5-7 years' experience within the Motor Assessing/Claims industry
- A motor body repair or technical trade qualification
- Excellent industry knowledge and ability to adapt in challenging environments
- Demonstrated experience in managing strategic partnerships to deliver balanced outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on strategic plans and company initiatives
- Experience in advising and interacting at a senior level, coupled with strong relationship management
- Demonstrated experience in influencing, leading, and managing teams to achieve strategic plans and P&L results
- A strong understanding of legal and contractual frameworks, and
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a high level of commercial acumen.
