**Casual Social Workers**

**Acute or sub-acute hospital, Grade 2**

- This position will provide the successful applicant with opportunities to showcase their experience working in a well-supported multi-disciplinary team environment with a wide variety of acute surgical and medical patients. This role involves the provision of Social Work service and will be a very valued member of our supportive team. The Social Work team consists of over 40 staff members who work across the City and Royal Park Campuses in acute, sub-acute and community based services across a range of specialties.

**Your new role**
- Complete psychosocial assessments and provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families and/or carers in the acute hospital wards
- You will be supported by senior clinicians (grade 3) and clinical lead (grade 4) on site
- Bimonthly team meetings for casual staff (virtual) to support you in your role and connect you with the team
- Be part of and contribute to a dynamic and progressive Social Work team
- Foster positive team and workplace culture as a grade 2 clinician

**About you**
- You are a qualified Social Worker (either current member or current eligibility for AASW) with work experience as a hospital Social Worker
- You are an adaptable quick learner with proven ability to work autonomously in hospital environments
- You are able to deliver excellent consumer focussed clinical care to patients and their carers
- You have the experience and skills to mentor and supervise junior staff and students
