**What is the job?**

Our Social Workers work to support people in the community who have become isolated due to age, disability, injury, or circumstance

**The Position**:
We are seeking experienced Social Workers to join our supportive and growing team to work with clients within our organization across Melbourne. This position comes with possibility of growth and additional shifts if desired.

Positions to commence as soon as possible.

**Position Requirements/Qualifications**:

- Hold a current driver's license.
- **MUST **have **Membership with Australian Association of Social Workers**:

- The successful applicant will need to be available for occasional weekend hours
- Have an understanding of how the National Standards and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) indicators align with this role.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role as detailed in the CHS Exceptional Care Framework, Clinical Governance Framework, Partnering With Consumers Framework and all other related frameworks.
- First Aid
- Police Check
- An NDIS Workers Check is required.
- You must be willing to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per Victorian Government mandates for disability support worker

**Your Role and Responsibilities**:
In this position, your potential responsibilities may include:

- Companionship.
- Skills Training (eg. teaching someone to take public transport).
- Social activities, like movies, fishing and concerts.
- Cooking and meal preparation.
- Help with appointments (eg. doctors) and errands (eg. grocery shopping).
- Light exercise, such as walks.
- Local transport and getting around.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: Up to $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:

- Good hygiene including washing hands, cleaning workplace, etc.
- Required COVID-19 vaccination

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Truganina VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
