**Production Employee / Disabled Worker - General Factory**

A Production Employee is an all-rounder with some hand and power tool skills responsible for performing various tasks. They are responsible for meeting quality standards and deadlines for joinery items and products. They may assemble products and items as instructed by the leading hand or the production manager. They may also be responsible for general factory labour, cleaning and or assisting qualified tradespeople during the manufacturing process. They check for defects, maintain quality assurance processes, monitor and assist to maintain equipment, and closely follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and contribute to a safe and clean working environment.

**Daily Tasks**
- Take instruction from Leading hand or Qualified tradesperson to perform various tasks to complete joinery items. This may include, General cutting, sanding, edging, gluing, clamping, fixing, laminating, palletizing, assembling, cleaning, sorting, or any other general task related to joinery assembly.
- Maintain the warehouse's machines or equipment
- Store products and materials
- Meet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift
- Report on defective products or machinery
- Check stock levels and report deficiencies in products or raw materials
- Keep the worksite safe and clean to avoid hazards from chemicals and fragile products
- Review and follow manufacturing shop drawings or cut lists to build items.
- Ensure shipping procedures are timely
- Transfer equipment manually or with forklift trucks
- Follow the company's safety and quality guidelines
- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications to determine the type and size of materials needed for a project
- Measuring and marking cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil, and square
- Operating woodworking machines such as saws, routers, and planers to cut and shape materials
- Assembling and gluing together cut and shaped pieces to create finished products
- Sanding and finishing surfaces of products using hand and power tools
- Installing hardware such as hinges, handles, and drawer pulls
- Communicating with supervisors and other team members to coordinate work and ensure that projects are completed on time
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
- Keeping a safe and organized work area
- Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Packaging and labelling finished products for shipment or storage
- Loading and unloading materials
- Keeping accurate records of materials used and time spent on projects
- Communicating with customers to understand their needs and preferences
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Continuously improve skill and knowledge in joinery techniques and technologies
- Assisting in training other team members
- Participating in team meetings and contributing ideas for process improvements
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure projects are completed on time and to the satisfaction of the customer
- Trouble shooting and problem-solving issues that arise during production
- Participating in safety meetings and following all safety protocols

**Location - **Heidelberg Heights

**Hours - **To Be Advised - Dependent upon disabled persons abilities

**Pay Rate - **To Be Advised - Dependent upon disabled persons abilities

**Salary**: From $23.23 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
