Communications Specialist - 6 month contract
Are you a clear communicator with an interest in learning design?
We're looking for strong storytellers with a background in corporate or educational communications to join our collaborative team. We thrive on great ideas and have big ambitions to revolutionise the way people in our industry learn new information and power up their skills. If you're an imaginative writer with proven abilities in constructing clear and original content, we want to hear from you.
While experience in learning design is advantageous, it's not essential. Our first priority is finding writers who can understand our target learners and skilfully craft learning material that's clear, respectful, innovative and fun.
**About Reece Group**
Reece is more than a plumbing company. We're an ASX top 30 listed organisation with global reach. Key to the success of our multi-faceted business has been to truly live our company values, including a passion for innovation and growing as a team.
**About the Opportunity**
In this role, you will write and develop customised learning experiences to be delivered both face-to-face as well as through a dynamic digital platform. This role will sit within Learning Design team. Our aim is to fuel employee's growth by supporting development in capabilities and skillsets needed for success into the future.
Sometimes you'll be working on video scripts required to do the heavy lifting for the learner, in other cases you'll be designing a more interactive experience. With the support of our team, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Research user needs
- Outline learning journeys end-to-end
- Write video scripts, activities, and other digital content to meet learning objectives
- Upload content to the learning platform
- Test your content with users and iterate as required.
This is a 6-month contract role, filling a leave of absence. The position can be filled at a full or part time capacity. The role is hybrid, with typically one day in the office.
**About You**
We're looking for someone to complement our existing SME skills and who will thrive within our team culture. Our team is warm, agile, resilient, and resourceful. We take ownership for our individual projects while still working collaboratively together. And, no surprises, we love to learn. If that hits the spot for you, the key skills we're looking for are:
- Clear communication skills with a strong grasp of the English language
- Exceptional spelling, grammar, and attention to detail
- Focus and patience to edit challenging content
- The ability to come up with unique ideas and find creative ways to explain a concept
- The ability to conceptualise and plan extended learning journeys
- Stakeholder management and organisation
If you're ready to use your writing and editing skills to inspire growth in others, this is a great opportunity to join a high performing, user-focused team.
We look forward to hearing from you.
**How can you build a career with Reece.**:
Reece is different. We're a successful company that doesn't like to make a fuss of our success. We're a big business that works hard to retain the great things from when we were a small business.
We value common sense as highly as a university degree. We encourage people to have a go and don't mind if they fail. We promote people based on performance, not age.
Reece is a place where people make a real difference. And that's the secret to our success - having the right people, with the right attitude in the right roles.
We're looking for the right people now. People who like people. People who like to talk but also like to listen. People who like to perform. People who can recognise an opportunity and seize it. People who are prepared to promote themselves.
Read on. You will quickly discover whether you might be the right person, and whether we might be the right place for your career.
