**Some of your responsibilities will include**: - Lead and drive a team of communication and engagement professionals to develop and deliver effective strategies to engage and/or inform the community and stakeholders throughout delivery of the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP). Oversee engagement and maintain ongoing positive relationships with a large and diverse range of project stakeholders within TMR and other government agencies, industry, community as well as internal and external clients. Provide specialist communication and engagement advice to the Executive and Senior Leadership project team and other key project leads to support successful delivery of the project. Develop the strategy and operational plans for the communication and engagement activities which represent best practice in support of project delivery outcomes and the requirements of stakeholders. Proactive leadership, addressing all aspects of staff and contractor performance management including recruitment and selection/engagement, appraising, and developing staff/management of contractors, ethical behaviour and decision-making.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- A relevant tertiary qualification i.e. Communications, Journalism or Public Relations would be highly regarded. Certification in International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) would be highly regarded
- Experience in a strategic communication or community/project engagement role in an environment dealing with major infrastructure projects.

Strong communication, engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to tailor messages to resonate with stakeholders of diverse interests and backgrounds. Promotes integrity in the management and use of processes and resources. Embraces change and leads with focus and optimism in an environment of complexity and ambiguity. Demonstrated ability to lead strategically, recognising and articulating how the team's work contributes to the organisation's vision and community outcomes.
