Are you passionate about workplace safety? Do you have extensive experience in the commercial construction and/or concrete industries? Our client, a leading local contractor is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable OHS Manager to join their team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures that comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and legislation.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks, and recommend effective control measures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture and provide guidance on OHS practices.
- Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Deliver OHS training programs and workshops to enhance employees' awareness and understanding of safety protocols.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes related to OHS, and implement necessary updates to the company's policies and procedures.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of safety equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an OHS Manager, preferably within the commercial construction and concrete industries.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant OHS legislation, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and the associated risks, with the ability to develop effective control measures.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential hazards and develop practical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant certifications such as a Construction Safety Supervisor card or similar qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in using OHS management software and tools.
