Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Specialist to join our team in promoting a safe and healthy work environment. If you have extensive experience in commercial construction and/or concrete industries, we encourage you to apply for this challenging role.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive OHS policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Deliver OHS training programs and workshops to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes to ensure compliance and minimize risks.

Requirements:

  • (Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is required).
  • (Proven experience as an OHS Manager within the commercial construction and concrete industries is essential).
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant OHS legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and associated risks.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to develop practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as a Construction Safety Supervisor card.
  • Proficiency in using OHS management software and tools.
