OverviewThe Surgical Assessment Unit at Ipswich Hospital are looking for a highly motivated individual to join us as a Clinical Support Technician.
You will become part of our friendly and well-established Clinical Support Technician Team, providing excellent support to our medical and nursing staff to facilitate patient flow through the surgical assessment unit and surgical division at Ipswich Hospital.ResponsibilitiesSupport registered nurses in delivering high quality patient care, including assisting patients with activities of daily living in accordance with their plan of care.Assist with clinical procedures and the preparation of patients and equipment.Develop and deliver clinical care, learn the clinical skills required to undertake procedures such as venepuncture.Be a member of the core Cardiac Arrest Team and attend cardiac arrests and emergency situations.Work well in a team and be flexible according to the day-to-day needs of the service.Work a variety of shifts including weekends and nights; overnight duties are to the site matron.Qualifications / SkillsExcellent communication skills and motivation to develop skills and career within clinical care.Ability to learn clinical skills and undertake a range of procedures to support patient care.Willingness to contribute to improvements in services for the population of Ipswich and surrounding area.Team player with flexibility and adaptability to meet service needs.About the OrganisationWe are ESNEFT, providing hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex, delivering care from Colchester and Ipswich.
