About the Role:
Our rapid response team uses a range of technologies to provide high-quality data insights to departmental executives. Speed, accuracy and breadth of domain knowledge are the key skills for this team. This position must ensure the team is performing well and meeting the information needs of a broad range of educational leaders.

The successful applicant will be a person with technical leadership experience in databases, SSMS, Excel, Power BI, presentation of insights and contemporary statistical reporting techniques.

Responsibilities Include:
Lead and manage analysis and interpretation of early childhood and education data to support quality decision making at all systemic levels of service delivery.
Lead and manage projects in line with the strategic direction and activities of the early childhood and education sector as defined in priorities set by senior management.
Identify and make recommendations to senior management on performance issues impacting on the early childhood and education system as a result of operational, state or national policies.
Prepare and review performance reports, discussion papers, briefing notes, Ministerial and executive management correspondence on a range of complex and sensitive issues.
Contribute to the definition, development, implementation and appraisal of key performance measures.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, delivering contemporary products and processes through a co-design approach.
Represent the department at various committees and advisory councils with a view to promoting the department's objectives and activities.
Lead and manage a high performing team, including the associated financial and physical resources to achieve established goals and objectives within time and cost limitations.
Lead and direct teams to undertake extensive information gathering, performance activities and strategic analysis of early childhood and education related matters, to assist executive decision making and inform the future position of the department.
Participate in the development of a work environment that is challenging, equitable, ethical and safe and which encourages commitment, skills development and professional growth.
